What's funny, as I am Canadian and live in Canada, is that there are as yet no Canadian rights for the new book.
What's not funny, is that as I don't have a US billing address, I am unable to purchase my books myself.
I am slightly irritated and unamused. Hopefully Random House will have this sorted out soon! I will keep you posted as to when and if there will be Canadian availability on my new title.

...it's actually a sequel
It has come to my attention that because of it's title, my new book, New Acrylics Essential Sourcebook, has been perceived as being a new edition of the earlier book. This is not the case. It is, in fact, the sequel to The New Acrylics.
This new publication goes in depth into the acrylic paint world, offering valuable information and guidelines for using this modern medium. The books are designed to accompany and compliment each other. They share the "new acrylics" heading, as they are connected to each other in intent and the new one offers more in-depth and advanced content.
Hope that clarifies.
Thanks for reading!

Drama Queen
This jacket, featured in New Acrylics Essential Sourcebook, is made primarily from Tri-Art semi-gloss gel medium, Payne's grey (Tri-Art Liquid) and Mother of Pearl (Tri-Art Liquid). The only other materials used were metal button bases and florists wire to reinforce the collar. The seams and darts were fused with gloss polymer medium.
The jacket will be on display at Wallack's Art Supply store in Kingston during my launch on Friday.

More support from Marion Boddy-Evans!
Although the Ottawa launch was not fabulous, it is a thrill and an honour to have the tremendous support from my online community!

Gearing up for Ottawa Launch
which...by the way, will be more of a cake & punch thing than the afore mentioned wine & cheese. But it's all good, and I hope to meet many enthused painters there!
Also looking forward to spending a couple of days in Ottawa, because it's often nice to get out of town!

FIRST REVIEW!
FIRST REVIEW...AND IT'S A GREAT ONE!
Thank you, Marion Boddy-Evans! This was a lovely way to begin my day, which, though busy, will be laced with smiles. My book is officially released today, and I'm thrilled to have a review this lively and positive to begin the momentum on promotions and sales.

Learning & Product Expo cancelation
I regret to inform any of you who were planning on taking my workshops at the Learning and Product Expo: Art! in Lisle, Illinois, that I will not be in attendance due to unforeseen circumstances.
Thank you for your understanding.
Look for the same workshops to be offered in Pasadena, CA, this October!
I promise to be there.
